I don’t know about you, but I have played several Mega Man NES games, and it is hard to say that each games brings it’s own to the table. I mean, they’re all the freakin same! Sure bosses are a tad different here and there and different power ups have been added, but is there anything really that different from each title. I say no.
The latest Mega Man game (Mega Man 9) is a back to basics sequel to the popular series that uses the same graphics and technology that Mega Man 1 & 2 for the NES used.
Well this hasn’t stopped Megan Man fans from putting $10 down for the latest entry into the Mega Man series. Mega Man 9 was released over WiiWare (console download) and has already been downloaded more then 60,000 times. Meaning it has grossed over half a million dollars. Here is the real kicker, that was just one day.

I guess people love to waste money, or forgot what ROMs are (Nerd Fellowship just not endorse ROMs :3 ). Just seems like madness.

As most of you know, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed came out yesterday on all the consoles (and hand held gaming devices), and from what I have seen across the web, it has been getting mixed reviews. The game looks so funny. The character models alone are enough to give me sweet dreams of my old Dreamcast days.
Oh snap, this made my morning! How awesome is this. Alfred is a playable character in Lego Batman. That is not the awesome part, the awesome part is that he fights with one arm, while the other holds a serving dish. It is pretty funny. Check out the video.
You know you want to. All those old photo books she sits you down to look at every holiday dinner or family reunion, while you try to be polite and patiently sit through it. Well the next time Grandma brings out the bible thick book of old vacation cruise photos, show her that you’re interested by taking one of those photos and applying her face from the photo to your A.I opponent in EA’s upcoming boxing game FaceBreaker, then proceed to ninja smash her jaw into bits with your double axle jump kick.
The game allows you to map real photos on to the player models through the use of the Playstation Eye or Xbox Live Vision Camera. Check out the video below.

I can only imagine what people are going to be mapping on their characters. Just look up Spore creature creator on youtube to see what I mean.
Marvel and Activision have recently closed their poll held to decide the winning box art for the new Spider-Man: Web of Shadows game. The choices consisted of two covers, and to be honest they both sucked. Most of the Spider-Man movie posters were really impressive, so they could have at least drawn some inspiration from that.

Here is the winning box art. Spider-Man gets a suit upgrade, complete with spray painted character art. Look! He is doing the Riddick pose!
Here is the losing boxart. Clearly it lost because the Activision logo is black instead of white.
It is cool that Marvel and Activision went the extra mile to let the consumers pick the cover art. It would have been even better if there was two different cover art boxes that contrasted black spidey suit and red spidey suit, but beggars can’t be choosers.
A new House of the Dead game is coming out. This time the developers are making the game horrible on purpose. Check out the trailer below. Probably worth a rent.

This has Grindhouse written all over it. For a second I thought they were using Cherry footage from Planet Terror.
I thought the days of playing House of the Dead were over, not counting the occasional movie theater arcade sessions. I would have never guessed another title would be coming out, especially with the humor this one has.
Question: Why did the House of the Dead games rarely take place inside of a house?
Chainsaws battles, stuffing men in barrels and throwing them towards a train, a guy flying around with jet engines attached to his arms. Nothing new right? Apparently this is all just another day in the universe of Madworld. A new trailer has come out for the game, now previewing what seems like some of the boss characters. Check it out.
One thing is for sure, you don’t want to be playing this game on that old 15 inch TV you have sitting on your desk. With the whole game in black and white, I am a little worried that all the graphic details will look to complicated to the human eye. As I watch the trailer now, it’s a little hard for me to tell some things apart. Does any one else agree with that?
Strong Bad has a game out. Did you know that? I knew about it..kinda…like I heard about it…kinda….
It is called “Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People“. Maybe Strong Bad didn’t think I was attractive enough to play his game and that is why I “kinda” knew about the game.

I don’t know what Strong Bad is complaing about, his office was sweet. It just needs a furnace with a fire inside that grows as his anger level rises. Perfect for a “shift manager”.

Isn’t the crashing sound on the first video great? I know if that was me, and my parents saw me break what ever glass that was, I wouldn’t be getting away with it so easily. Most likely I would have a hard time sitting for the rest of the day.
