I’ll be the first to say that I am not into the testosterone filled 2D fighter scene. Every guy in there late 20’s to mid 40’s talks about the good old days of going to the arcade and slamming their quarter on the screen to throw down against some button masher. It sounds like a nerd’s equivalent of a present day virtual roman gladiator arena. I kind of wish I was born a little earlier to experience those days. Now with Street Fighter II HD hitting the game consoles and SF 4 about to launch, all the old arcade gamers are getting their pants wet with excitement. I have to say I am not really on the bandwagon with them. Like I said, that scene was before my time.

HOWEVER! I just saw the trailer for King of Fighters XII and I was blown away by the graphic quality and animations. I am not saying I am committed to buying the game, but I definitely want to try my hand at it.

It’s funny how the characters share some of the same moves as the Street Fighter characters.  I know there is a history to explain why that is, but I can’t remember it right now.

Another Street Fighter movie is about to debut and flop. *Yawn* But you might as well check out the trailer. This is one of the most vague trailers I have ever seen. It moans about beauty and terror like they have something to do with one another and how to obtain both you need a warrior. What the eff? It doesn’t make a damn bit of sense. God I wish movie studios would leave these titles in the hands of able people. I have more hope for the Dragon Ball movie then this sorry looking cash cow. At least Dragon Ball has Goku’s orange costume.

I had to post this! What a great movie trailer mash up. Using Brad Pitt is Lion-O & Vin Diesel is Panthro. The trailer was actually made frame to frame in photoshop. Ouch! I don’t think I would have the patience to mess with each frame in photoshop of all places. Great work though.

Not 9 movie trailers….no no no… just one movie trailer for the movie “9″.

I honestly don’t have a clue what this movie is about. It looks like Little Big Planet mixed in with the apocalypse and a bunch of semi famous Hollywood stars. An interesting side note however is that this movie was produced from a silent animated short by the creator Shane Acker that caught Tim Burton’s eyes.

A new trailer for the Dragonball movie has hit the web, but it has been renamed to Dragonball Evolution.

I don’t usually go off on rants, but I just need to say this. WHAT THE EFF?! Are the producers behind this film purposely trying to piss off the fans? I thought the whole point on making a film was to bring in the big money so you guys can milk this franchise out with like 5-7 more sequels.

What the hell does adding “EVOLUTION” at the end of your movie do for ticket sales? Does it make it THAT much edgier to those fans who were 50/50 on seeing the movie, but are now all in because you beefed up the title with some cliché edgy word that is completely irrelevant to the film?

I don’t know who makes these creative decisions at the movie studios, but damn they need to be shoot in the reproductive organs so they can stop making offspring that will continue this legacy of retarded marketing decisions.

Ok, this is a bit odd….but I figured I would post it because I kinda / maybe / possibly want to see it. The humor looks too looney toon with the whole slipping on banana and awful accidents the main guy runs into but Kung Fu Hustle had that type of comedy to and I loved that movie.

A brand new trailer hit the interwebz last night for the upcoming Watchmen movie. I believe this trailer will spike the interest of people who don’t know what Watchmen is. One of my friends said the 1st trailer didn’t look that great because there was no real plot introduced to the audience.

It looks great. With Rorschach almost narrorating the trailer, it gives a good idea of what the movie is about. I am also glad we got to see Dr. Manhattan (the blue glowy guy) talk. I was curious to see how his voice sounded. Surprisngly it sounds normal. I was expecting sone kinda echo voice or high and low mixed together.

The movie Fanboys finally has a release date, and I thank god it isn’t direct to dvd. The movie’s release date has been juggled for over 2 years, and many movie goers who had kept up with the movie’s progress were worried that it would be canned or sent direct to dvd.

Luckily the The Weinstein Company has stopped messing around and set the release date for February 6, 2009.

For those that don’t know what Fanboys is about, let me give you the short summary
Fanboys is a road trip movie that chronicles a group of friends that are determined to break into George Lucas’s Skywalker Ranch to steal / watch Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The reason for this is that the one of the boys is dieing of cancer and wishes to see the movie before his death.
