Everyone still has their bitter opinion on how bad The Spirit will be once it hits theaters. I still stand by my opinion that it won’t be the awful mess that everyone hopes thinks it will be, but rather a good time popcorn movie.
Frank Miller must be feeling the heat from the internet haters in one way or another, so my theory is that this video was released to help ease people into his concept for The Spirit.
Check it out.
One thing they could do is let us know what the plot is so we can stop thinking the movie is just a The Spirit vs The Octopus fight with hot girls.
A new trailer for Frank Miller’s The Spirit is now online. The trailer is getting negative buzz, but I don’t agree with what everyone is saying. I think the trailer is a lot better then the previous installments. The plot is still vague though. People just aren’t getting that the movie isn’t Sin City. Yes it has the same look and feel, but it also stretches into a very comic comedy world. Not that the movie is a comedy, but it is not supposed to be taken very seriously.
Check it out.

I predict this film will fail to succeed at the box office due to negative buzz and general confusion over the film’s story and characters, but over all will be a great movie. I will go and see it opening day, I suggest you do too!
New posters has been posted on UGO for Frank Miller’s The Spirit staring Gabriel Macht and Samuel L. Jackson. The text on the sides of the first poster is a little hard to read, but I believe it reads “I’,m gonna kill you. All Kinds of dead.”
Apparently the Octopus has trouble aiming above the shoulders.
The posters looks pretty cool (Samuel L. Jackson has the better poster), but I wish they would have toned down the orange orgy. It’s ridiculous.
More photos have been released for Frank Miller’s movie adaption of The Spirit. Check out the photos.
How many get ups does the Octopus have in this movie?
There are a lot of people who said the Comic-Con preview was horrible and a big mess, but I still have a lot of hope for the film. I expect it to be a fun movie ride, I won’t go in expecting a movie like Sin City.
2 clips from The Spirit movie directed by Frank Miller (300, Sin City) have leaked online. The clips come directly from the 2008 Comic-Con panel. As you can tell from the bad quality and jacked angle, the footage is shot from a camcorder. Take a look.
Hmmm these clips don’t show a lot of promise. Humor yes, but nothing to make me want to see it.
From what I understand, The Spirit was never super serious. So maybe we are trying to make this movie something it was never intended to be. I say, even if the previews keep sucking and you hold little hope for the movie, still give it a try at the theater. Its got Sam Jackson in it, that has to be worth something…right?
I heard Frank Miller loves green screen so much now he actually paints all of his actor’s green and super imposes their face digitally onto their green screened body. You know…just for fun.
Here is the latest trailer leaked online for The Spirit. The last trailer we saw was more of a teaser then anything. This trailer showcases all the characters in the film. Take a look.
When I first saw the original teaser I got chills up my spine because the Untouchable’s theme song fitted it perfectly. I watch this trailer and I feel like I am listening to Underworld 3. Eeehhh…not a good choice at all. Trailers like this should be reserved for down the road when more informative trailers have already made their rounds on TV and the net. Still looks really good.
