Heroes Loses 2 Writers / Producers

The hit tv show Heroes has been getting a lot of negative attention as of late and it seems with the recent flaming Entertainment Weekly did by publishing “how to fix Heroes” on their cover, NBC has been feeling the burn and looking for some aloe. The solution? Axe writers / producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb.

NBC recently cut the producers due to creative frustration with the show’s current creative direction.

Season 3 was supposed to be the big come back Heroes needed after a not so well received season 2 garnered complaints from fans and the media. The writers strike was supposed to benefit the show by giving the writers & the production team more time to develop the show, but it seems something is still missing.

Could it be the ridiculous amount sub plots? Or maybe it is the 180 degree character developments. Or maybe it’s that nothing great has happened this season. Don’t get me wrong, I love heroes. I come home every Monday on time just to watch it. I have not missed an episode air since season 1. I even sit through the horrible excuse for a spy comedy, “Chuck” because nothing else is on. It’s just I really hate when I watch a show for a good while and it seems nothing is really accomplished on the show.

Lets just hope this decision by NBC is for the best and we all benefit from it. I would hate to see it come back and hit NBC in the face.

Man Punches Shark, Best Post Title EVER!

Let me just start off by saying 2 things.

1. I hate sharks. I don’t care about your eco, nature preservation, on verge of extinction bullshit.  All sharks suck. We have plenty of carnivorous beast out in the ocean. We don’t need a giant slug with fins and black eyes mistaking every 4-6 foot object for a seal. I HATE SHARKS! (also, I hate bees…)

2. I have waited a long time to hear a story like this, and it made my day being able to write this post’s title.

So basically, a guy stupidly let’s his football sized dog swim in shark infest waters, and SURPRISINGLY when the dog gets dragged underwater by a shark, he jumps in to rescue it. Fist go flying, and a shark swims home with a bruised ego.

Check out the video via CNN.

I hate sharks…

ET Gets Transformers 2 Inside Look, Fills It With Cheese

Entertainment Tonight got an exclusive look at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by visiting the set in the White Sands Dessert. Now when you think, “EXCLUSIVE LOOK” you probably hope for some juicy Transformers details like what new Transformers will appear in the film and what car models they will take the form as.

Sorry, none of that in here. Just lots of “OMG OMG OMG PLANES!” by the over excited ET reporter.  I mean yeah sure it would be cool to be on set, and see F16’s flying over head…BUT THERE IS NO TRANSFORMERS!

Anyway, check out the video below to keep your palate wet.

Mmm…genius

Heroes Season 3 Premiere: Your Thoughts?

IT’S BACK! YES! Oh yes…

It seems like I have waited over a year for the epic show to return, and how marvelous was it? That is not really a question…it was awesome. All the characters (besides Maya) seem to be exactly where they need to be.

How awesome was it that they aired 2 episodes?! What a treat. I didn’t even know they were going to air 2 episodes. The pre-show party was so scripted and fake, but how can I complain, they teased more clips.

Anyway, enough “OMG, OMG, OMG” from me, what did you think?

What did you think about Heroes Season 3 Premier?

Lord British To Escort Colbert DNA Into Space

Ahhh Stephen Colbert, gotta love em. Surprisingly, some people don’t. I don’t quite understand why, the guy throws knee slappers out left and right. Anyway, Stephen Colbert wants Ultima creator Richard Garriott aka Lord British to carry his DNA into space. Doing so will apparently give a back up Stephen a fighting chance at coming to life incase God decides to call it “game over”.

Question: If everyone on earth dies, who will bring clone Colbert to life?

Floating Kirbys Invade The U.S! Quick! To The Hindenburg!

The enthusiasm these people have for Kirby is ridiculous. I like Kirby as much as the next guy, but I don’t think I would be confessing my love for him on TV.

“OMG, I Just love Kirby. He is so soft and cuddly. I have a Kirby pillow that I take to bed with me every night and F#*@ the $&%# out of it while sticking a pineapple (interview cuts off)”

*Back to Joe Reporter*

“*blank stare* Thank you Rob! For those delightful comments….”

Anyway, check out these awesome “FLOGO!” Kirby foam clouds that were released in massive numbers across the skies of Albama. Expect the alien reports to flood the 911 call center for weeks to come after this PR show.

Yeah for the new video player!

Space Balls - The Animated Series

I am about to get another hit to my Nerd cred for this post.

Space Balls was a 1987 Star Wars parody that has earned a huge cult following, but I never really cared to much for it. I have watched it about 3-4 times and I still can’t appreciate it.

So I wasn’t enthusiastic by any means when I saw the preview for the animated series of Space Balls. There is one thing that caught my attention, and no it wasn’t the ridiculous amount of breast jokes they put in the preview. What caught my attention is that the show appears to be animated in Adobe Flash. I can’t confirm it, but I am good at spotting flash produced shows out, and I am 98% sure flash had a hand in this show.

Check it out.

The show will start running on G4 September 21st. Now although I am not looking forward to it by any means, it should fill up sometime time slots on G4 and hopefully eliminate more air time for the ninja shows they always have on, or Cops and Cheaters.

Hiro Nakamura of NBC Heroes - More Anakin Skywalker This Season

Heroes is only one week away ladies and gents! Woot! I am so excited. To long, has it been since I laid eyes on the the phenomenon that is Heroes.

I found this spoiler-ish video today of Masi Oka who plays Hiro Nakamura on the show, giving an interview and revealing some details about his character in the upcoming season. Check it out!

*warning, possible spoilers*

I don’t think Hiro will become a Darth Vader like character, probably just more pissy and upset like teenage Anakin. I guess we will have to wait and see!

Bill Gates & Jerry Seinfeld Commercial is Odd

Has anyone seen this yet? I heard Microsoft was planning their own set of commercials to combat that Apple commercials that have been running for some time now. To bring some batting power to the plate, Microsoft decided to hire everyone’s favorite comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Sounds like a cool idea right? What could go wrong? Seinfeld has had a pretty good commercial track record so far.

Take a look at attempt 1.

Dare I ask “What the hell was that?” in fear of Microsoft sending it’s Balmer virus to my computer? Wait yes I do, because I am on my MacBook right now. Ha!

So yeah, it is interesting…but I really don’t see how this would make me want to buy Windows. If you know who Bill Gates is, and think this commercial is up your alley, then chances are you already use a PC running windows. Oh well, I am ready for the second serving now.
