I know there has been a cult following for Apple since I was first introduced to the iMac and all my school teachers raved over it like it was powered by the tears of Jesus. I never really understood it. It’s the same crap as any other computer, just a different operating system and a different computer case.
*fast forward*
The day I went to get my iPhone 3G, I discovered how deep the nuttiness goes when I was placed in line next to some music band groupie chick (honest, it’s all she talked about) who had 3 iPhones (they all worked) and was going back to get another. She also carried every current MacBook in her back pack and felt the need to show me all her photos on her iPhone (time could not have gone by any slower).
I wanted to slap her because she was hysterical about getting her 2nd iPhone 3g. I knew I wanted to know the reason behind the madness, but I figure the answer to that would just be…..well…more madness.
The movie MacHead further fuels my loathing for the lamest cult on the face of the earth….The Mac Community. And no, I don’t hate apple products. I own a MacBook and iPhone myself, it’s the people. Even the employees at my local Apple Store act like they are the shit, which I guess comes from the fact that they must love wasting their lives by making someone else rich. They all remind me of the one South Park episode called “Smug Alert!”
So check out the trailer for MacHeads. Especially if you’re like me and gaze in wonderment over the Mac community like a child in the zoo.
As most of you know, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed came out yesterday on all the consoles (and hand held gaming devices), and from what I have seen across the web, it has been getting mixed reviews. A lot are saying the story is great but the game play lacks reply value. I just wanted to get the community’s thoughts. So answer the poll below and discuss the game in our forums by clicking here.
*Note* I am talking specifically about the console versions PS3 / Xbox 360
Yes, I am apart of the iPhone cult. I sacrificed my old metro provider in order to gain favor of Steve Jobs and his apostles. Just like any cult underling, I must show my appreciate to the great Apple lord, and a new iPhone app has made that task all the more easier to do. Check out “Sonic Lighter”. A light simulator that you can play Enya to while kissing your Mac Book Pro and begging forgiveness for using your friend’s Vaio.
Take a look.
I am baffled as to how the iPhone knows your blowing on it. Probably just the mic picking up the sound of air hitting it. Also, how does it know when it is near other iPhones?
Good news for us people who love selling our souls to Steve Jobs for overpriced pieces of plastic. EA is getting ready to pump out a lot of new titles for the iPhone. Yay! The titles include SimCity, The Sims 3, Need for Speed, Tiger Woods Golf, and as I previously mentioned Spore (now called Spore Origins).
Spore Origins will be released on September 7th (only 2 days away!) for the iPhone. The game will not be the complete game that will be released on PC and Mac OS X on the same day, but rather more of a origin game. Basically the game only plays on the organism level where you must eat other organisms or be eaten and nothing beyond.
Spore Origins will be released worldwide on iTunes and eamobile.com.
Or rather, in the memory of Don LaFontaine. “ON SEPTEMBER 7TH, EVOLUTION BEGINS!”. How did I do? Pretty good right? Sweet…
