Just a small bit of news coming in for fans of Ender’s Game.
The Game
Anyone who is familiar with the work of Orson Scott Card should know of his book Ender’s Game. Now I have read almost everything dealing with the Enderverse, yeah that’s what he calls it, so a while ago Chair Entertainment announced that they again are working with Mr. Card, but this time they are working together to make a game that is based off of Ender’s Game. So far there aren’t that many details about the game but it will be developed using the Unreal 3 Engine, and it will be centered on the Battle Room.
The Movie
As above, whoever is familiar with the Enderverse may or may not know that they are currently working on a script for a movie that is based on Ender’s Game and Ender’s Shadow. According to IMDB the movie is currently “In Production.”
That’s all the info we have now, but check back here periodically for more developing news.
The first set of promo photos for upcoming movie adaption of Mark Millar’s Kick-Ass have been released. Only 2 photos for now, but we will certainly take what we can get. I also added a pic below of the comic to compare the costume from comic to movie.
The costume is very faithful to the comic, aside from the mouth area. I am guessing they had to keep the mouth area open to capture more emotion from the actor. Kind of like Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie.
A brand new trailer hit the interwebz last night for the upcoming Watchmen movie. I believe this trailer will spike the interest of people who don’t know what Watchmen is. One of my friends said the 1st trailer didn’t look that great because there was no real plot introduced to the audience.
It looks great. With Rorschach almost narrorating the trailer, it gives a good idea of what the movie is about. I am also glad we got to see Dr. Manhattan (the blue glowy guy) talk. I was curious to see how his voice sounded. Surprisngly it sounds normal. I was expecting sone kinda echo voice or high and low mixed together.
Worthy of a movie hall indeed, that is if you have a movie hall. I don’t, but I really want a secret cave I can duck into when I am looking to relax and watch a movie. Within this cave will be a long hallway with amazing movie posters that catch your eye. This hall will then lead upto the grotto. A cavernous water filled area with a giant movie screen and a few seats. Popcorn will be served by a sexy robot who dances to thriller on command and always knows where I left my car keys.
Ah yes, some day. Until then, I can always plan my movie poster collection that will be in the great hall, and these new Watchmen posters are definitely gonna be among the select few.
During Comic Con 08, I got to meet some of the team members behind the amazing comic book series Devashard, the first international comic released from Hong Kong.
We traded business cards and promo material, and to this day Spencer Douglass who is in charge of Event Management over at Fluid Friction (the company that produces Devashard) still rocks the Nerd Fellowship t-shirt.
Recently Spencer sent me over a new trailer for this comic and I wanted to share it with everyone.
Check it out.
I just got done reading Book 1 in the Devashard series, its pretty sweet. All the panels are drawn out more like scenes from a movie. While reading the book, I felt like I was actually watching everything happen in motion. Very well done, they have an amazing team of artist working on the book, as well as a great writing team.
Hellboy II is coming! Another one of this summer’s under rated movies. I thought Hellboy 2 was great. It brought back the same Hellboy that we came to love in the first film, and then totally expanded on the Hellboy universe giving us an even deeper view into the world of magic, mystics, and monsters.
So Hellboy II is coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray (Woot!) and we got some movie extras to feed your hungry minds. Check it out

Hellboy II: The Golden Army will arrive on 3-disc DVD & Blu-Ray Hi-Def November 11th loaded with over 3 hours of bonus features. So go get it!
But only I can have the RIGHT HAND OF DOOM! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
New freakin sweet HP and the Half Blood Prince trailer is out. Lookin good…looking good.
So sad the franchise is coming to an end. I mean we have already gotten so much from the series. 7 books along with 7 movies. But alas all good things must come to an end. Only 2 more movies to go.
Check out the trailer.
Now if I could just find a studio to pick up my hot Snape / Dumbledore / Harry love triangle fan fiction, I could make the big money.
Sample
Snape presses up against Harry’s sweaty back. Harry mutteres “No…”, “I can’t…Dumbledore wouldn”. “Shhhhhh” Snape says to Harry. “Just let it happen, my wand has wanted to do this since I first set eyes on you.”
“Be gentle with me, this is my first time.” says Harry.
Just as Snape is about to unleash his dark magic, Dumbledore enters the room. *end of smaple*
One of this summer’s best movies (and under-rated in my personal opinion), The Hulk just came out on DVD & Blu-Ray this last Tuesday. Along with the DVD / Blu-Ray comes some bonus material which includes deleted scenes and a “Making of” video. Here are a few previews of what is included.
Making of The Incredible Hulk - chase scene
Deleted scene
Becoming the Abomination
I really really really hope we get to see more Hulk in the future, and don’t do it without Edward Norton pleeeassseeee….
Everyone still has their bitter opinion on how bad The Spirit will be once it hits theaters. I still stand by my opinion that it won’t be the awful mess that everyone hopes thinks it will be, but rather a good time popcorn movie.
Frank Miller must be feeling the heat from the internet haters in one way or another, so my theory is that this video was released to help ease people into his concept for The Spirit.
Check it out.
One thing they could do is let us know what the plot is so we can stop thinking the movie is just a The Spirit vs The Octopus fight with hot girls.
A new Watchmen trailer has hit the net, which shows a little more of our favorite blue god-like nuclear physicist, Dr. Manhattan. The trailer still has a lot of the old clips in it, but it is worth a watch for the new clips.
I am cruious to see how this movie fares with the non-comic readers. Will it make mad money or crash and burn? Lets hope for the big money.
