I want to call up Nicholas Cage and give him a brief talking to. I don’t understand how to get pysched act in a movie called Kick-Ass without doing your homework and reading up on the comic first. Now after taking a look over at Mark Millar’s up and coming comic, he has made a statement about not being comfortable with the level of gore and violence the book displays.
Cage recently did an interview with MTV’s movie blog and had the following to say.
“When I said ‘yes’ to this movie, it was to a script,” explained Cage. “Then I started seeing the comics which are pretty far out in terms of violence. But I think Matthew and the script have a different style to it. I’m not fond of gratuitous violence”
So it appears the movie adaption will not be as hardcore as the book, as long as Cage and director Matthew Vaughn have a say….in which they do…because they are the star and director…durr!
